Elephant Grounds

EG is all about their coffee (and ice cream sandwich), but being a huge fan of chai latte as soon as I saw it on the menu that was that (sorry forgot to take a photo…too excited try it!). It was different from the usual milky diluted chai that you find in the chains. A good amount of spice and cardamom heavy, this was surprisingly satisfying even as a morning coffee person.

For the Teakha fan’s out there, EG was serving their tea selection.

I got there just before 11am on a Saturday morning and just managed to miss the rush, so if you want to avoid any queues get in around this time.

I’m still searching for the best Eggs Benedict in HK and I’ve tried a fair few in my time but EG could be a potential front runner, although their version involves smoked salmon and avocado, good portion size too.

Since the burger had their name on it, I couldn’t not try it! It was really fresh and juicy, always love a fried egg no matter what dish and the fries were my kinda fries, crispy and seasoned.

Verdict: Everything on the menu I would like to try which is quite rare for me, they have a good choice of light and heavier dishes for brunch and nice selection of drinks hot and cold. Definitely coming back to try everything else on the menu!
